It's been said that "there is no over-training, only under-recovery".... Well, this of course is up for an eternal debate, but we are discovering more and more about is the importance of recovery every single day, and now recovery has become a leading topic in athletics, and heath optimisation, from losing fat, to gaining muscle, to improving sleep, and even the longevity of mitochondria and telomere health (how long and well you may live).

However, many supposed "recovery" tips and bio-hacks that are widely available have never really been proven to work, except for massage. Massage is one modality nearly all athletes and coaches, from weekend warriors, to CrossFit Gamers, to elite MMA fighters in the cages can all agree on. Massage works! And for over a hundred years proper Thai massage is always ranked the athletes professional choice.

Often referred to as "lazy yoga", Thai massage will bend and twist you into positions of all 3 planes of motion, stimulate lymphatic drainage, increase blood flow into the muscles, and help to knead out the sore and immobile areas of the calves, feet, hamstrings, lower & upper back, and shoulders. Thai massage does it all, when done correctly.

WHAT I WILL DISCOVER

 

This workshop is delivered by ThaiElements founder Wikanda Eaka, who herself trains in CrossFit, METCON, and other forms of high intensity exercise, so she knows very well the demands placed on the body through high intensity exercise programs. 

 

The workshop is 3 hours in length and will cover the basics of Thai massage focusing on the area often tight in high intensity and weight training modalities, including the feet, ankles, hamstrings, glutes, lower and upper back, and shoulders.

 

The workshop will also take your though the 3 planes of motions and thorough a number of dynamic positions. Once done you will feel relaxed, looser and much less stressed. And best of all, you will be able to repeat it at home with your significant WODer!

** Please be aware this is a non-therapeutic workshop only, and not meant to treat any chronic / acute injuries or physical illnesses. All attendees are asked to be in good health, with no diagnosed injuries/illneeeses that may detract from the teachings in this course. While stiff and sore muscles are one thing, tears, sprains and other acute based injuries are another. If you have any questions, please feel free to message us. 

 

We also cannot allow any attendees with cancer, on muscle relaxants, currently in chemotherapy, pregnant, or diagnosed back pain from herniated disks), or other diseases/medications causing weakened muscles or infirmered. Ages 18 - 64 only.
